Sarah Deveau received a B.A. in
Music from Mount Holyoke College and a Master of Music degree from Boston University
where she studied with Ann Howard Jones, David Hoose and Daniel Moe. While living in
Boston, Sarah studied voice with Melinda Spratlan and Jayne West and performed with Boston's Coro Allegro.
Sarah has conducted a number of ensembles from the Mount Holyoke Glee Club and Boston University Fine arts Choruses
to the New School Music (Cambridge, MA) Women's Ensemble and the Reading Symphony Chorus. In May of 2004,
she conducted Sideshow Opera Company's production of Benjamin Britten's opera, The Turn of the Screw.
Most recently, Sarah directed the adult choir of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Reading, MA
and sang in the Five College Early Music Collegium. Now she's a candidate for a Doctor of
Musical Arts degree in choral conducting at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
